Cape Town International Convention Centre
WBHO/ RAINBOW JOINT VENTURE
Very limited vehicular access was possible. The building was 300m long and three floors high. Moving from one side of the site to the other and from the basement to the third floor proofed to be physically exhausting. The Auditorium was the most challenging due to its V-shape with a bull-nose on the end.
Maintaining accurate survey control was difficult, because of the limited sight lines between the surrounding buildings and the instability of the overhead freeways.
